Make sure the blades of the Deadmeat broadhead stay in place and are held there until they need to deploy, not before. Collars are recommended to be replaced after use to maximize blade retention.  
 
These crossbow collars can be used for either Deadmeat V2 broadhead and give the bladed increased retention.
