MY CHRISTIAN FAITH

Coyote Creek Archery exists because my lord and savior Jesus Christ blessed me with skilled hands and an eye for detail.  I am able to do these things only because of the gifts that the Lord has given me.  It is my hope that those that use my products find God in his creation and come to know his love for all of us.

The words that follow help me to get through the difficulties of life, and I hope that they will inspire you to develop a closer relationship with Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

We all carry heavy burdens.  Life can be hard sometimes and Earth is not a very nice place to live.  What Jesus is saying is that we can't do it on our own.  If we follow him and do as he instructs us he will carry us through whatever life throws our way.  Heaven awaits for those that follow Jesus as he instructs us, and all of our worries, our pain, and our struggles will be eliminated and we will live in peace with him forever.

John Chapter 6 is one of my favorite parts of the Bible because there are so many amazing things happening.  In verses 1-14, it starts at the Sea of Galilee where Jesus feeds 5,000 people with only 5 barley loaves and 2 fish.  Once everyone had eaten all that they wanted there were 12 baskets full of food left over.  If we have faith in the Lord he will take care of us!  We have nothing to worry about!

John Chapter 6 continues with verses 16-21 where Jesus walks on water.  Read it below.

When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were terrified. But he said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the land toward which they were going.

One of the most used phrases in the Bible is "do not be afraid".  if we believe in him and put our trust in him we know that he will care for us because he loves us.  We have nothing to fear.  Take up his yoke and your burden will be light.

In John Chapter 6 verse 22 through the end of the chapter, the crowd of 5,000 finds Jesus on the other side of the sea and Jesus says to them “Very truly, I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.  Then in verse 35 Jesus says one of my favorite bible verses “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Jesus is the "bread of life."  By believing in him and taking up his yoke, we have nothing to fear and at the end of our time here on Earth, we will be lifted up to heaven to be with him forever.  We do not know what heaven will be like.  It is not within our comprehension as humans, but we do know that it is a truly wonderful place where we do not experience pain, or worry, or fear.  Our time on Earth is meant to prepare us for meeting the Lord.  How we treat others and how we live our lives will determine our eternal fate.

Spend some time with the Lord each day.  Share the good news with others and Love your neighbor.  If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, I encourage you simply talk to him and he will lead you in the right direction.  If you don't feel comfortable or don't know where to start then visit a local church and talk with someone about how you can come to know Jesus.  Also please feel free to contact me and I will help you all that I can  It will be the best decision you have ever made.
