Today is the first day of a 14 day Christmas Break for myself and my family. It's always great to have time off together, to spend time with our families and have extra time in the woods. It will also give me a little extra time to work on a few bow projects that I have going on.
It has been a rather rough deer season. I killed a buck back before Thanksgiving, but I still have a doe tag and both of my boys still have tags. I hope to get out next week and hunt for a doe as well as do some calling for coyotes and set a few traps. My boys will try for a doe in the January antlerless season because our freezer needs a little help! I'm sure a few bucks have already started to shed their antlers and it won't be long before the majority of them have. There are a few bucks hanging around the Coyote Creek that I would love to find their sheds and know that they made it through the season. It's always fun getting the boys and the dog out and seeing what we can find. I will post updates of my builds on this blog as well as on Facebook and Instagram so be sure to check that out. Remember that you can always use another bow and now is a great time to get one ordered and become proficient before next fall! I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus. May God bless you and your family!
