![]() Winter sure started off cold but it has been rather mild with temps in the mid 60's lately in Northwest Kansas. This has made for more opportunities to get outside and shoot, fish, call coyotes, and shed hunt. I've done my best to fit in some of these excursions between my day job, family, and building bows and strings. Things have been busy around the shop as I just completed a beautiful 62" Bobcat recurve for a customer. It finished at 56# @ 28" and will easily kill any animal in North America with the proper arrow setup and shot placement. I'm currently working on arrows for this bow now and it's great to see the excitement on the customer's face when they receive their new bow. For me that's what it's all about. Next I'm starting on a 58" Bobcat for a customer in Iowa. This will put CCA bows in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Iowa, and New Jersey. Not bad for my first year. I love the process of seeing the bow come together and handing a piece of functional art to the customer. I especially enjoy receiving photos and videos of their successful hunts with their CCA bow. Be sure to share your successful hunts with your CCA bow by email at coyotecreekarchery@gmail.com. Turkey season is fast approaching and as much as I love to hunt Kansas Rio's with a stick and string I will be primarily concentrating on the success of my two sons. They are ages 9 and 11 and really look forward to spring turkey season. If time permits once they have been successful I may take after them with my 58" Bobcat. If you are looking for a challenge or want to get back to basics in your hunting style. Or if you have been shooting a recurve or longbow for many years and are looking to upgrade or have a custom bow built. You won't find a better product or price than Coyote Creek Archery. 2017 is the year for your new bow! Send me an email or give me a call or text at 785.380.3328 and we'll get you started.
