Bobcat progress

My rain gauge showed over 8" this past weekend. That's almost 1/2 of what we get in a year around here so we are very thankful for the rain.  Rarely is it the case that I'm thankful to be stuck indoors but I was glad to have some time to put together the first 62" Bobcat recurve this past weekend.  This is a new design that I came up with at the request of a customer and I'm very please with it so far.  This bow has a walnut riser, maple limbs, and green glass.  I plan to add black and white phenolic overlays to the riser and limb tips.  I'll be posting progress pictures on this blog as well as on Facebook so be sure to stay close and watch the process.  I hope to have a string on it by the end of the week and be shooting it in early May.  You never know, it might be ready for the last few weeks of turkey season!
